I'm up for the Premio Aztlan Literary Prize. They decide the winner in February, and then the winner goes to the university to do a reading/lecture in April. I've already lit a candle at St. Joseph's and gone to the yerberia and purchased that special "Gane un premio de letras latinas" soap. (The one with the typewriter and Virgin Mary on the label.) Now, I figure all I need is y'all's good vibes to cinch the win. So, cross your fingers, please. Light your candles. Put little prizes in the hands of your voodoo dolls.
